Off I go....

Well my pack is very heavy and here is why.....I am sure that I will eventually see what things I absolutely need and what things can go. I flew out at 8:00 AM on January 19th and did not arrive in the Dominican Republic until 1:30 AM the following day. It was a very very long day. My first day in Santo Domingo, Dominican Republic was filled with sight seeing. Darren Reid my Dominican Republic heterosexual life partner played a music show at the La Espiral our first night. When we arrived for sound check that afternoon it was time for a cold beer....

I am staying at the YMCA in Santo Domingo with Darren. We have an apartment there with meager accomodations. However, they are perfect for us. Others may have a problem with the noise, dirt and lack of running water. We get along just fine though...I mean we each have our own bunk beds.

The beaches are beautiful. However, here in Santo Domingo they are extremely polluted. It is very sad!
